The second of our pre-season games again saw a number of personnel from both sides being used with the Warriors ending the game with a number of the Under 20s and trialists playing. In the first half a stronger team was used and it proved to be far too strong for a young Hearts side. The goals flowed freely in the first half with all three goals coming from Alan Cook set pieces, Stuart Malcolm heading two goals and Alan Smith turning a rebound into the net after a Colin McMenamin shot was saved. Hearts had their best period at the start of the second half and local lad Russell McLean scored just after the restart. Before the end of the game though Stenhousemuir had scored a further two goals from McMenamin and a trialist who helped a Ross Meechan effort into the net.
