We complete our Premier Sports Cup campaign with the visit of fellow League 1 side Peterhead.

Neither side have been able to pick up 3 points, sharing just 1 point between them, which the Warriors picked up against Clyde in their last outing.

The Warriors come into this game following the 2-2 draw with Clyde, which ended in a 4-3 defeat on penalties. The Warriors dominated the first half but would only find themselves 1-0 up at the interval, thanks to a Michael Anderson strike. Clyde made a few changes at the break, which turned the game in their favour but couldn’t quite get on level terms.

Clyde would pull level twice in the game, Liam Scullion scored in the 78th minute to make it 1-1, then Logan Dunachie cancelled out Peter Mendy’s first goal for the Warriors with a header in the 88th minute, just 2 minutes after going behind.

Clyde haven’t been a stranger to late goal drama so far in the Premier Sports Cup. Their away game with Peterhead ended as such. Peterhead were heading towards 3 points before goals in the 95th and 97th minutes saw the Blue Toon leave empty handed.

Both sides will be looking to end their campaign positively with the League season starting just 7 days later. With the unlikeness that any of the Warriors injured players being available, Gary has the same squad as Tuesday night to pick from, as he gives the short term signings a chance to impress and gets some more minutes in the legs of the rest of the squad.
