We have another summer signing Warriors, this time it’s experienced forward Dale Carrick on a one year deal for the 25/26 season.

The 31-year-old striker joins the Warriors with an impressive track record in Scottish football, having featured for Hearts, Kilmarnock, Airdrieonians, Livingston, and most recently Stirling Albion. With over 350 senior appearances and more than 80 career goals, Dale brings invaluable experience and quality to the squad.

Carrick began his professional journey at Heart of Midlothian, making his Scottish Premiership debut in 2012 and famously scoring in the Edinburgh derby. In recent years, he has become known for his versatility across the frontline, his tireless work rate, and his ability to deliver in crucial moments—qualities that will make him a key addition to the Warriors’ attack this season.

Manager Gary Naysmith commented: “Dale is a player I have admired for a period of time and when we found out he could be available, he was a player that I wanted to try and bring to the club so I am delighted that we have been able to do so.

Dale is a different type of striker to Matthew & Corey and will give us different options at the front end of the pitch which I think will be important. He can also play in behind the main striker as well as playing wide so his versatility will be important.

With our other signings this season, Finlay, Archie, Ollie & Finn all relatively young and after losing Nat and Ky especially from the squad last season, I felt it was important that we added some more experience to the squad and Dale will certainly do that. I am looking forward to working with him during the season ahead.

Head of Football Operations Martin Christie added: “I’m delighted to welcome Dale to the club. He is one we have spoken about a number of times over the years but the timing was never quite right to get the deal done. This time however, everything came together and I’d like to thank Andy Kennedy at Stirling Albion for his help in getting the deal over the line between the two clubs.

Dale is a proven commodity in the Scottish leagues and with the average age of the squad being so young, we felt he would be a great addition for his experience as well as his playing ability.”

Everyone at the club looks forward to seeing Dale in maroon and white as we gear up for a competitive and exciting League Two campaign.

Note: Due to registration timings Dale will play as a trialist against Alloa Athletic.

Welcome to Ochilview, Dale!
