Stenhousemuir Football Club have signed Jordan Armstrong and Max Potter on contracts until Janaury 2020

Both players have been in training with the Warriors for the last few weeks and recently played in a bounce match against Syngenta Juniors at Ochilview. First Team Manager Davie Irons and Assistant Kevin McGoldrick have been assessing them during this time and have rewarded both with short-term contracts.

Armstrong, a 20 year old left sided defender is a product of the Motherwell FC Academy having graduated at the ‘Well’ and progressed into full-time football. He played a number of games for the Fir Park’s Colts team in the Challenge Cup but never managed a first team appearance for the Steelmen.

19 year old Potter has joined after leaving St Mirren. The right sided centre back spent a number of years in the Celtic FC Academy before making the switch to the Buddies. Like Armstrong, Max played for the Paisley side in the Challenge Cup but was unable to make the break through to the first team.

Both players are available for selection in tomorrows Scottish Cup Round 2 match at Penicuik with boss Irons giving them the chance to impress over the next 12 weeks with the opportunity to then earn a longer term deal at the Club.
