Why just have one signing when you can have two?
Please welcome Corey O’Donnell and Dean Aitken to the club. Both youngsters have penned one year deals with the club.
Corey joins the Warriors from Broomhill where he had a fantastic scoring season.
The talented striker began his career in the Motherwell FC Academy, then had consecutive loan spells at Albion Rovers and Bonnyrigg Rose before making the permanent transfer to Broomhill in 23/24 season.
Corey’s fellow newcomer, Dean joins from St Johnstone.
Gary Naysmith shared his delight in signing two promising youngsters with the club website:
“Dean & Corey are two young players with potential that we were keen to add to the squad. Both players have been on trial with us since we came back for pre season. They have shown enough qualities in that time for us to offer them a contract which will allow us to work with them during the coming season to try and help them to fulfil their potential.
I’m looking forward to working with both Dean & Corey and trying to help them to develop as players.”
The gaffer also detailed his plans for the boys over the course of the season:
“Corey is a 6ft 2, 20-year-old striker who joins us from Broomhill where he scored 16 competitive goals last season. The plan for Corey is slightly different. Initially, he will be part of the first team squad and then we will reassess things after the first month or so and then decide the best plan of action for us to take to help with his development.
Dean is a 6ft 3, 17-year-old central defender who joins us after leaving St Johnstone. The plan for Dean is for him to be involved with the 1st team squad for the league cup games and then we will look to put him out on loan, initially until Christmas, so that he is playing regular football every week as well as continuing to train with us one night a week.”
Please get right behind our new Warriors and welcome them to the club.
