We are delighted to confirm this years line up with Peter Martin our host again and George McNeil and Paul Reid our guest speakers.
Peter is well known in Scottish football and widely regarded as one of the best sports broadcasters in the country. He was one half of Peter and Roughy a popular STV show and he has also held the position of Head of Sport at Radio CLyde and worked for Radio Borders and Radio Forth. McNeill is a Scottish former world professional sprint champion and the only man to have won both of the most famous professional footraces in the world – the New Year Sprint (1970) in Scotland and the Australian equivalent – the Stawell Gift (1981). McNeill had previously played professional football in the Scottish Football League for Hibernian, Greenock Morton and Stirling Albion. One of the very best after dinner speakers on the circuit.
For over a decade Paul Reid has been one of the hottest talents on the circuit. Having started on the after dinner speaking circuit in 1998, Paul; has travelled the length and breadth of Scotland to speak at a whole range of events. Paul is known, primarily, as a soccer impressionist. He portrays most of the personalities from the ‘national’ game, with witty stories and hilarious impressions. Paul has starred on top rated TV shows like BBC’s ‘Only an Excuse with the legendary Jonathan Watson and also BBC radio Scotland’s ‘Off the Ball’ with Tam Cowan and Stuart Cosgrove
All proceeds from the evening are invested directly back into Stenhousemuir FC & Warriors in the Community to allow the Club to continue to progress and grow. Your support towards the evening would be greatly appreciated by all and with a top line up secured you are guaranteed a good night.
