Andy Munro pens a new deal to June 2021

Stenhousemuir Club Captain Andy Munro has signed a 1 year contract extension, committing his future to the Warriors until June 2021.

The 27 year old centre back was handed the captains arm band at the start of the season and has become a fans favourite during his 9 months at the Club. The Warriors bought Munro from League 1 side Forfar Athletic in January this year and he had an immediate impact, helping the Club secure a draw away to Premiership giants Aberdeen and then scoring against the Don’s in the replay at Ochilview. Munro’s contract was scheduled to run out in June 2020 but the Club has moved to secure the defender for another year.

First Team Manager Colin McMenamin commented on the contract extension;

‘I am obviously delighted to get him tied up. His performances since joining the club have been great. He is a leader on the pitch and also in the changing room. It shows our intent that we are trying to build something at the club and Andy will play a big part in that. It’s good news for the fans also and hopefully we can give them some more good news before the window shuts’

Andy Munro joins Mark McGuigan as players signed for season 2020-21.
