Warriors secure Mark Ferry and Mark McGuigan for season 2018-19
The club is delighted to confirm the re-signing of the joint Players Player of the Year winners Mark Ferry (Fez) and Mark McGuigan (Mr Goals). Both players put pen to paper on 1 year deals as Brown Ferguson looks ahead to life in League 1.
Both players were integral to the clubs success this season, becomming fans favourites as well as highly regarded members of the playing squad.
Fez played in 44 games this season across all competitions, consistently performing at a high level and playing a vital role with regards to both ball retention and protecting the back 4. He also scored the the winner in the second last home game of the season with a late header to take all 3 points vs Annan, a hugely important victory in the play off push.
Mr Goals enjoyed his best season in front of goal, netting 23 goals including a double in the play off semi-final away to Queens Park at Hampden. He is the first Warrior to score over 20 goals in the league since Miller Mathieson in season 1992/93. Mark was also named in the SPFL League 2 Team of the Year.
