The club are delighted to confirm the signature of forward Lucy Haggett from East Fife.
The 18-year-old Dunfermline native makes the switch from New Bayview to Ochilview, having been part of the fife sides SWPL2 campaign last term; contributing three goals in season that saw relegation to the Barclays Scottish Women’s Championship by way of the playoffs.
Commencing her football with Bayside, Lucy would move into the youth pathway of Spartans at the age of 12, progressing through the various age tiers; serving as captain at U-17 level in a Tier 2 league winning season. Never shy to fire on goal, Lucy will make her Championship bow in the Maroon of The Warriors.
“Knowing a few of the girls that I played with at Spartans previously, I actually took in quite a few Stenhousemuir matches last season” Lucy explains. “I really liked how Jack has coached the team into getting the ball down and playing some attractive football. It’s a style of play that I think will suit my own game well.”

“Even from the very first session I could feel the positive environment that was on offer here and to be honest it became a really easy decision as a result!”
Manager Jack Cameron adds “Lucy was a player we wanted to bring the club for some time, so it’s really pleasing to get it over the line this time round. She has had an excellent football upbringing with Spartans, and that senior experience in SWPL2 last year. She can play a little bit deeper of as a striker so it gives us some additional options in that regard, and getting her in as quickly as we have will give both her a full pre-season to gel with the group”
Going into the coming season wearing the number 24 shirt, the aim for Lucy is simple.
“I’m really looking to enjoy my football again and get as many minutes on field as possible. If can contribute some goals and assist my teammates in achieving theirs, then there is nothing stopping us from aiming for promotion which should really be our number one aim”.
