The club are delighted to confirm the signing of centre half Eva Gray from Gartcairn, after initially joining the club on loan in October of last year.
The 22-year-old becomes a permanent fixture at Ochilview having played her way into manager Jack Cameron’s starting lineup as the season progressed, chipping in with a couple very useful goals in the process; the first being described as a being “Just one of those good moments”.
Starting off with her local club Bonnybridge, Eva would also play for Falkirk and Celtic; where she gained recognition at Youth International level with Scotland. A move into the SWPL with Kilmarnock would follow where she made a dozen appearances each season between 2021 and summer 2023. A move to Gartcairn’s MTC Park would follow where she would make a telling contribution to the Airdrie based sides early seasons in SWPL2. An enforced spell on the sidelines would interrupt Eva’s playing time with an extended recovery period to follow.
“Coming back from Surgery was obviously a challenge” explains Eva. “SWPL2 is a really competitive league so it was a great opportunity to move into the Championship with Stenhousemuir to try and get back playing regularly.”
“I think as any player will tell you, a bad injury can really knock your confidence and introduce a level of self-doubt that you can’t really afford if you are going to back to playing as you were before. The players and staff at Stenhousemuir have been brilliant in supporting me and it’s so good to feel like I’m developing once again”.

With 15 Championship appearances and three goals under her belt, Eva already has her eyes set on next season.
“We’ve got a really strong core group of players, so we need to aim as high as we can and just see how far we can go”.
Manager Jack Cmaeron adds “I’m delighted to have Eva signing permanently with us following her loan period. Although she was coming back from a long spell out, it was clear to see she had lots of quality to offer.”
“She had a very strong end to our season with some really impressive performances, her decision making and composure is a great addition to our backline, and she’s equally comfortable playing in both defence and in midfield.
“I’m looking forward to seeing her really kick on with us this year”
