Stenhousemuir Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of left-back Scott Bright on a one-year contract.
The 19-year-old arrives at Ochilview following his departure from St Johnstone and becomes the latest addition to Marvin Bartley’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Bright began his career in the St Johnstone academy before progressing into the club’s B Team. During his time with the Perth side, he gained valuable senior experience through loan spells with Berwick Rangers and Brechin City, before spending last season with Forfar Athletic.
The left-back made 22 appearances for Berwick Rangers before enjoying a spell at Brechin City, where he scored his first senior goal in four appearances. He also featured five times for St Johnstone B, registering one assist, before making the step into the St Johnstone first team.
Last season, Bright spent the campaign on loan at Forfar Athletic, making 37 appearances and contributing one assist as he continued his development in senior football.
Comfortable at both left-back and left centre-back, Bright now joins the Warriors on a permanent deal as he looks to continue his progression under Marvin Bartley and Neil Hastings.
Director of Football Martin Christie said: “I am delighted to announce the signing of Scott.
“He first came to our attention at St Johnstone youth and we followed his progress during his loan deal at Forfar.
“Scott can play as a left back or a left centre back and will add strong competition to both those areas.
“We feel he has room for growth as well and look forward to seeing him develop under Marvin and Neil.”
First Team Manager Marvin Bartley added: “I’m really happy to have completed the signing of Scott Bright.
“He came in earlier on in pre-season and fitted into what we want both on and off the pitch.
“Having played over 2,000 minutes at Forfar last year, he instantly became of interest after parting ways with St Johnstone.
“He is comfortable anywhere on the left side of defence and has all the physical attributes of a modern-day defender.
“As with all our signings to date there is room for growth and it’s now down to myself and the coaching staff to give him that opportunity to do so. Then down to him to make sure he takes it.
“Also a special thank you to Jason Smith, who helped get this signing over the line.”
Everyone at Stenhousemuir Football Club would like to welcome Scott to Ochilview and wish him every success during his time with the Warriors.
