Stenhousemuir Football Club are absolutely delighted to confirm that Gary Naysmith has been named the Glen’s Manager of the Year for the 2025/26 William Hill League One season.
The award is the ultimate individual recognition for a quite extraordinary campaign, and it tops a season in which he collected Manager of the Month awards in October, January and March.
Gary took the Warriors to within touching distance of the league title, and secured a second-place finish on 67 points from 36 games. One of the finest league campaigns in the club’s history.
Throughout the season, the Warriors were a model of consistency and resilience. Gary made Ochilview a fortress with 18 games at home unbeaten in the league, just five league loses all campaign, and going into the final day with a chance of lifting the title.
The biggest home victory in the division, a 5-0 demolition of East Fife in January, was one of many highlights from a squad that continued to grow in belief and quality under Gary’s guidance.
The Warriors have also went on to reach the Championship play-off final, further underlining the calibre of a group that never stopped competing.
Chairman Dan Wharton said: “This is a richly deserved award for Gary and everyone connected with Stenhousemuir Football Club. To push Inverness all the way to the final day of the season, lose only five games in the league, and to reach the Championship play-offs is a remarkable achievement. Gary has built something very special here at Ochilview, and this award is fitting recognition of that. We are incredibly proud of what he and his staff have delivered this season.”
Speaking after receiving the award, Gary Naysmith said: “I am delighted to have been named as the League One Manager of the Year. Although it is myself that receives the award, it is actually a reward for the whole club as without the help and support that I have received from the players, my backroom staff, the board and the fans, these types of awards wouldn’t be possible. It has been a really tough league and there would have been a few worthy winners so I am honoured to have received the award.”
Everyone at Stenhousemuir Football Club congratulates Gary and his staff on this well-deserved recognition.
