The Warriors return to action tomorrow as we host Peterhead at Ochilview. This is our first game since we drew with Clyde 2-2 at home 3 weeks ago. A postponement against Elgin and the SPFL Trust Trophy is the explanation.
Our opponents, Peterhead have played twice since the Warriors last kicked a ball in anger as they defeated Forfar 3-1 away from home, and also exited the SPFL Trust Trophy at the hands of Dundee United who defeated them 2-0 at the Balmoor Stadium.
Peterhead currently sit top of the league 2 table, 4 points ahead of ourselves in 3rd however we do have a game in hand on the away side.
Our record against the Aberdeenshire side has been positive with 16 wins, 9 draws and 14 defeats. Half of those wins have come at Ochilview.
The two sides met on the second game of the season up in Aberdeenshire where the game ended in a stalemate at 0-0. It was a game where two good defences were difficult to break down and neither side had enough attacking quality to get on the scoresheet. The Warriors had to see out the game with 10 men as Mikey Anderson picked up a second yellow card.
