After last week’s game less weekend, the warriors return to action on Saturday where we return to Ochilview to take on Stranraer in the cinch League 2.
A last gasp winner from super sub, James Berry secured Stenhousemuir the 3 points in the capital against The Spartans almost two weeks ago. Assistant manager Brown Ferguson looked forward to the upcoming games as he said after The Spartans game that “We’ll have the weekend off and then we’ll reset and go into the last 4 games of this quarter.”
James Berry said after the Spartans game that they will use the break to work on a few things. “We just recharge, we’ll work hard in training, brush up on a few things. The manager said there that we still have a lot to improve on so we will do that.”
The warriors made it 4 clean sheets in 5 games in the league with that result against the Spartans.
Stenhousemuir finished 2 points above Saturday’s visitors last season.
Stranraer currently sit in 3rd place, 3 points above the warriors in 4th place. The away side go into the match unbeaten in the league so far and the back of back-to-back wins against Clyde and Peterhead, respectively. The unbeaten run also includes a win against Elgin City and draws with East Fife and Bonnyrigg Rose.
This match last season was one where the home team won every time with the Warriors winning 2 and losing 2.
We don’t have the best head-to-head record against our opponents having played Stranraer 182 times, winning 56, drawing 40, and losing 86 times.
