Stenhousemuir FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Robert Wilson from Arbroath FC

The Club has agreed the permanent transfer of 24 year old central defender Bob Wilson from Arbroath FC, with the player agreeing terms until the end of the season. Wilson has made 96 professional appearances in his career, the majority of which coming during his time at Berwick Rangers FC. He signed with Dick Campbell’s squad in July last year.

Wilson took part in a closed doors game against Dundee United on Tuesday night and Davie Irons moved swiftly to secure his signature to bolster his central defensive options. He trained with the squad yesterday evening and is expected to feature this Saturday vs Brechin City. Wilson becomes the Club’s second January signing after Conor McBrearty returned to Ochilview last week.

Speaking about his latest signing Irons said;

‘Improving the spine of the team and making us more defensively solid is a priority this window. Bringing in Bob will help us on both fronts. He is a strong, committed defender who loves to defend first and foremost. He is a real competitor and an experienced proven player at this level so I am really pleased to bring him into the Club. He knows Andy Munro having played with him when they were younger. I am confident they can strike up a strong partnership together starting tomorrow against Brechin City.’

Stenhousemuir FC wishes to thank Arbroath FC for their cooperation regarding this signing.

Bob’s home and away top are now available to sponsor for £100 each.
