Stenhousemuir FC is pleased to announce the signing of Bobby Vaughan
Bobby Vaughan has joined the Warriors to become Brown Ferguson’s 10th summer signing and will join the squad for this Saturday’s league opener vs Brechin City.
The 22 year old London born striker spent the majority of his youth playing for Charlton Atheltic’s academy before leaving the club at 15. For the previous 2 seasons he has been in Maltese football with 1st Division side Gudja United including a loan period with St George’s FC where he scored 11 goals in 11 games. . He played against the Warriors earlier this pre-season in a closed doors match and was then invited back in for training and for the friendly vs Hamilton. Vaughan impressed during the trial period and convinced Brown to snap up the forward in time for the Saturday.
Brown Ferguson commented
‘Bobby has really impressed in the short-time he has been involved with the club. He traveled up from London to play against us and then did the same again to play for us in the Hamilton game. His appetite to play and to learn is terrific and I feel he could be a really exciting addition to the squad’
Bobby Vaughan spoke about signing for the club
‘When I cam here I was really impressed with the players and the way the club is run. Speaking with the Manager convinced me this was a good place to play and a good move for my career. I can’t wait to get started, I am looking forward to the season and hopefully I can add some goals to help the team’
