'Building Bridges Event'
HND Year two Sports Coaching pupils from Forth Valley College are raising awareness of inclusion faced by people with disabilities within our community.
Warriors in the Community are delighted to be supporting this multi-sport event at Forth Valley College on Thursday the 30th of March from 9.30am-2pm.
The event focuses on the inclusion faced by members of the disability community and how this can be broken down to “Build Bridges” by using Sport.
This event will include sports such as wheelchair Basketball, Boccia, Dance as well as Football sessions from ourselves. The participants for this event are from our partner schools, Larbert High School and Carrongrange School.
Head of Community Football William Hoggan added: “We are delighted to be supporting this event at Forth Valley College. As a former student at the college it will be great to be back along and supporting the Sports Coaching students. A course I done over 10 years ago now. We also deliver disability football at WITC with our ‘Stenny Stars’ programme and our Adults ‘Mental Health’ programme so when asked to support a disability sport event we were delighted to accept”
