Warriors in the Community (WITC) not only deliver community football programmes to all ages and all abilities at Stenhousemuir Football Club but they also deliver Employment Training in partnership with the Falkirk Councils Employment Training Unit.
The programme is called ‘Take the Lead’ and part of one of the groups SQA units was to deliver an end of course event at Ochilview Park.
The group chose to organise and deliver a Primary Schools Football Festival on Friday 11th November. This football festival attracted over 100 boy and girls from 7 Local Primary Schools in the Larbert School Cluster.
Head of Community Football and Group Coordinator William Hoggan said “a lot of planning and preparing went in to this football festival and the group can be so proud of their efforts. The festival ran very well on Friday and all boys and girls had a great time. Fantastic feedback from all parents and teachers who attended on the night”
the Group have now completed their Stage 2 Employment Course at Stenhousemuir FC with all participants now moving on to a Stage 3 Employment Programme run by the Falkirk Council. The Community programme now looks forward to their 3rd intake early 2017.
