The club are delighted to be welcome young midfielder Darcie Greig on-loan from SWPL1 Motherwell on a season long loan.
A pathway player initially with Glasgow City, Darcie would join Motherwell in December of 2024 having also played boys football with UTD Sports until the age of 13.
The 16-year-old midfielder makes the same loan move as club teammate Lia Young in joining up at Ochilview with a view to pushing into the Lanarkshire sides first team plans.
“This is going to be a good challenge for me” explains Darcie. “The Championship is a good level of competition and seeing how Stenhousemuir did during the split showed that they are on the right path and want to push on.”
“There are some very good players at the club and in the Championship so it’s going to be a challenge in both regards. I think dealing with those challenges will help develop the physical and mental sides of my game.”
“A loan move is a good choice for a player at my age as it provides the opportunity for me to set realistic achievable goals, whilst being forced to improve attributes across my game at the same time.”

Whilst individual development remains of importance to Darcie, her potential contribution to the Warriors cause holds weight also.
“Of course there is the individual aspects, and whilst I’m here hoping to development and play as many minutes as possible, I’ve already seen what a great squad is here at the club. Training has been challenging and squad welcoming. I think the players all look out for each other, and help each other to achieve as much as possible.”
Manager Jack Cameron adds “Darcie is a very physically fit player, and she has already brought a real intensity to our play out of possession. She shows an excellent level of composure and decision making in the ball and I’m really looking forward to seeing her develop with us this year; be that in midfield or defence.”
