The club are delighted to welcome striker Sarah MacLeod back to Ochilview for the 2026/27 season.
The 24-year-old returns to the club, where she was a mainstay of The Warriors attacking line, after a spell at SWPL2 side Livingston.
“Last season was really difficult for me with injury” Sarah explains. “To be honest I was probably at the point where stepping away seemed a good idea, but when a return to Stenhousemuir appeared as an option it quickly reminded me of how much the staff at the club had believed in me. With that it was an easy decision to return as it feels like the right place for me to rediscover my enjoyment for the game again”
Departing Ochilview in September of last year, Sarah had already amassed a considerable goal haul in the Barclays Scottish Women’s Championship, Sarah returns to familiar stomping grounds – with a few new faces to meet for the first time. “Theres definitely been some change, a number of the players I remember have moved on but the welcoming atmosphere that I so enjoyed the last time is still here and exactly as I remember it. There is still a few of the old guard there too of course and both factors combined have made transitioning back into the squad really easy.”

Manger Jack Cameron adds “We’re really pleased to have Sarah back at the club. She was a big player for us when she was here previously so when the opportunity arose to bring her back to Ochilview arose it was pretty much a no brainer for us”
“She’s an excellent addition; we know exactly what she brings to the table and like any player we will do our bit to ensure we can support her to play at her very best. I know how effective a player she can be when playing regularly and full of confidence, so after an injury hit season for her I know all to well just how determined she is to make this a successful season for both her and the club”

Sarah echoes her managers thoughts “I do want to enjoy my football and bring my confidence back up, but equally as important is being able to make a contribution both on and off the pitch back to the club, and do my bit to help us have as successful a season as possible and keep our eyes on the ultimate goal of winning the league.”
