Stenhousemuir Football Club is proud to mark a significant milestone this week as manager Gary Naysmith has taken charge of his 150th competitive match at the helm of the Warriors.
Since arriving at Ochilview in January 2023, Gary Naysmith has overseen one of the most successful and progressive periods in the club’s history, instilling belief, standards and a clear identity that continues to drive the club forward.
His first full season in charge delivered a historic achievement, as Stenhousemuir secured the cinch League Two title, the first league title in the club’s history, finishing eight points clear at the summit.
It was a landmark campaign that firmly set the tone for what was to follow.
The momentum carried into the 2024/25 season, where the Warriors more than held their own in William Hill League One.
A fourth-place finish ensured a place in the William Hill Championship Play-Offs, underlining the club’s continued upward trajectory under Gary Naysmith’s guidance.
This campaign has seen further progression as for the second successive season, Stenhousemuir find themselves firmly in the title conversation, demonstrating consistency and resilience at the top end of the table.
Yesterday’s 1-0 result over Hamilton Academical means that the Warriors, once again, are joint top of the William Hill League One table, as thy continue to fighht for a spot in the William Hill Championship.
On the cup front, the Warriors reached the Quarter-Finals of the KDM Evolution Trophy and made an impressive run to the Round of 16 in the Scottish Cup, competing strongly against higher-ranked opposition such as Greenock Morton and Falkirk.
Ochilview has also become a fortress. An outstanding unbeaten run of 18 home matches this season has highlighted both the team’s strength on the pitch and the unity between players and supporters.
Across his tenure, Naysmith’s work has not gone unnoticed.
Multiple Glen’s Manager of the Month awards, including February 2023, November 2023, January 2024 and February 2025, reflect the consistency and standards he has maintained.
