The Warriors get their Scottish Cup campaign up and running tomorrow as we return to Ochilview for the first time in almost a month when we host Brora Rangers in 2nd round of the Scottish Cup
The Warriors are coming into the match off the back of a 1-1 draw up in Elgin on Tuesday night. Adam Brown opened the scoring before Ross Meechan was sent off just before half time and after a gritty performance, Elgin equalized on 86 minutes through MacEwan.
Tuesday’s goal scorer, Adam Brown previewed tomorrow’s game after the match saying “We want to go win on Saturday, we know it will be tough. They will be good. Like last year we want to have a run in the competition and challenge ourselves against better opposition”
The Warriors made it to the 4th round last season being defeated by Livingston at Ochilivew.
Brora Rangers defeated Berwick Rangers at home 5-1 in the first round of the Scottish cup. The visitors come into the match on fine form. They currently sit in 8th place in the highland league, and they have only lost two games in all competitions this season.
They have only been defeated by Brechin in the league and Ross County B in the North of Scotland Cup.
The Warriors have only played Brora Rangers once before which was in the Challenge Cup back in 2014. We lost 3-1 up in Brora.
Despite his red card against Elgin City being upheld, Ross Meechan is available for selection and he’ll miss out the next league game, away at Forfar. Ross Taylor remains a long term absentee and Jordan Kirkpatrick is also likely to miss out through injury.
