Stenhousemuir FC Player of the Year Awards
On Saturday 25th April, the annual Player of the Year Awards night was held in the Plough Hotel, Stenhousemuir.
A number of awards were given out on the night, and the Club would like to congratulate all the worthy winners. The Club would also like to thank all players, coaches, staff and supporters who have all contributed this season.
The winners of the Awards were as follows:-
- The Norwegian Supporters Club Fair Play Award – Ross Meechan
- The Norwegian Supporters Club Player of the Year – Colin McMenamin
- The Supporters Club Player of the Year – Greg Fleming
- The Travelling Supporters Player of the Year – Greg Fleming
- Warriors Abroad Annual Award – Linda Divers
- The Player’s Player of the Year – Ross McMillan, Colin McMenamin, Greg Fleming
and finally,
- The Board’s Stenhousemuir FC Player of the Year – Greg Fleming
A special mention was also made to Paul McMullan who has been with the Club since the start of year, on-loan from Celtic FC. Paul has made a huge impact on the Club and deserved special praise for his efforts.
Finally, for the Young Player of the Year Award, the Club announced that this would now be known as the Kyle Doherty Award. This is to honour the memory of Kyle, who at just 19 years old, tragically lost his life in January. Kyle was starting to make the break through into the first team Stenhousemuir squad prior to his tragic accident.
The Club was delighted to welcome Kyle’s father Kevin, together with Kyle’s younger brother Josh to the Player of the Year Awards to give out this Award for the first time.
The worthy winner of the Kyle Doherty Award for Young Player of the Year was Ciaran Summers.
