Jamie Swinney, Stenhousemuir FC Academy Under 11’s team coach has recently passed the very stringent SFA’s Advanced Children’s Licence course.
The 14 day course is designed for coaches working with young players (9 to 12 years) and provides a recognised qualification for adults working in children’s football.
The content of the course involves practical as well as theoretical components focusing on all aspects of children’s development.
In an effort to ensure that our best young players are given every opportunity to fulfil their talent and potential, the course covers topics such as, Developing Technique of the Creative Player, Physical Preparation for Young Players, Talent Identification, Developing a Training Session, Coaching in the Game, Acquisition of Skill, Child Psychology and Protecting Young People and Vulnerable Adults.
Head of Academy, Aidan Robertson commented: Jamie has worked very hard to achieve his new status as one of the elite coaches in the country.
As a club we are very proud to have a top level coach like Jamie onboard within the Academy.
Jamie will continue to develop and nurture the talents of the young players coming through our system as he takes control of our new Under 11’s Performance team in the new season.
