Stenhousemuir Football Club are delighted to announce that Darren Jamieson has penned a one-year contract extension.

Darren joined the Warriors on 18 May 2023 and has since been a consistent and influential figure in Gary Naysmith’s side.

The goalkeeper has gone on to make 114 appearances for the club, making his 100th this season, and is closing in on a half-century of clean sheets for Stenny, with his current tally standing at 48.

Darren played a key role in the side that secured the cinch League Two title, the first league championship in the club’s history.

During that memorable campaign, he featured in all but two league matches and recorded an impressive 19 clean sheets.

On the contract extension, manager Gary Naysmith said: “I am delighted that we have managed to agree a new contract with Darren which will see him extend his stay at the club for a fourth season.

“Since he joined the club Darren’s performance levels have been really high and he has kept a really high percentage of clean sheets in the matches that he has played.

“He has been a big factor in the success we have achieved in recent seasons and I am delighted that he has agreed to extend his stay at the club.”

Head of Football Operations Martin Christie said: “Since bringing Darren to the club he has been a model of consistency and we feel remains one of the best keepers in the division. 

“We are delighted to be able to retain his services for another season as he continues to bring his goalkeeping and leadership skillset to the club.”

“Since joining the club, Darren has been a model professional and a key figure both on and off the pitch. Reaching his 100th appearance for the club this season is a fantastic achievement and shows just how important he has been to us.
