Stenhousemuir Football Club is delighted to announce that Leyton Grant has signed a contract extension, keeping him at Ochilview until the end of the current season.

The 19-year-old joined the Warriors on 6 September 2025 and has since gone on to make 13 appearances in maroon, with his debut coming in the KDM Evolution Trophy against Kilmarnock B in a convincing 4-0 victory.

Leyton has also contributed two assists so far with the club, both coming in our most recent KDM Evolution Trophy fixture against Annan Athletic, helping the Warriors progress into the next round where we will face his former club, Stirling Albion.

Manager Gary Naysmith commented on the contract extension, saying: “I am delighted that we have been able to extend Leyton’s deal until the end of the season. For the first part of this season, Leyton’s game time was limited due to the standard of performance from the players that were playing in front of him. During this period he continuously trained to a high standard, waiting patiently for a chance, and when he did get minutes on the pitch, he did well.

“In the last five or six games, Leyton has featured heavily in an unfamiliar midfield position and done really well. He is a very versatile player who I believe can play in a number of positions, and this versatility will be very important for the squad as we prepare for the second half of the season.”

Head of Football Operations Martin Christie added: “It is fantastic to be able to announce that Leyton has signed an extension until the end of the current season. Having identified him early in the season as a player who we felt could add real value due to his quality and versatility, we were delighted to be able to bring him in on an initial six-month contract.

“Both parties are happy with how that initial period has gone and so we were very keen to keep Leyton until the end of the season. He has performed well for us in a number of positions and it is easy to forget he is only 19 years old, given the maturity he shows on the park. We look forward to seeing more of Leyton in the second half of the season as we continue to build a strong, sustainable squad to compete in this league.”
