Stenhousemuir FC is absolutely delighted to confirm that manager Gary Naysmith has signed a new contract, committing his future to the club until the end of season 27/28.
Since arriving at Ochilview in January 2023, Gary has transformed the team both on and off the pitch. In two and a half years, he has taken charge of more than 111 matches, securing 45 victories and instilling a consistent, winning mentality throughout the squad.
The highlight of his tenure so far came during the 2023/24 campaign, where he led the Warriors to an historic league title — the first in our 140-year history. That unforgettable season included an impressive 12-game unbeaten run, a stretch that captured the belief and spirit running through the club.
Gary also guided the team to the playoffs in the 2024/25 season, continuing to raise expectations and build on the strong foundation he and his staff have laid.
Gary Naysmith said “I am really happy that I have been able to agree a new contract to extend my stay at the club. Talks have been ongoing for the last few weeks and I am delighted that we have managed to agree a deal that suits all parties.
I have now been at the club for just over two and a half years and during that time, we have managed a fair degree of success which has been nice for everyone involved with the club, especially the fans. In football though, you can never stand still and the next challenge for myself, my staff, the players and everyone else connected with the club is to keep pushing forward, not rest on our laurels and keep trying to grow the club both on and off the pitch. It won’t be easy, nothing ever is in football, but it’s a challenge we are all looking forward to.”
Chairman Dan Wharton added “We’re absolutely thrilled that Gary has committed his future to the club. Since joining, he’s brought a level of professionalism, ambition, and belief that has taken us to new heights — including winning our first-ever league title and challenging again last season.
His leadership and vision perfectly align with the direction we want to take the club. This new deal gives us continuity and stability, and we’re excited to keep building something special together. On behalf of the board, we’re grateful for everything Gary has done so far — and we know there’s plenty more to come.”
This is fantastic news for everyone involved with Stenhousemuir FC — from our staff and players to our loyal supporters. Gary’s impact has been nothing short of transformative, and we’re excited to continue building a bright future together.
