Stenhousemuir Football Club are delighted to announce that Ross Meechan has signed a contract extension which will keep him at Ochilview Park until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Now into his second spell with the Warriors, Ross has been a tremendous servant to the club, making 280 appearances in maroon, scoring six goals and providing 13 assists during his time with the Club.

The midfielder was also a key member of the Stenhousemuir side that made history during the 2023/24 season, helping the club lift its first-ever league title.

Commenting on Ross Meechans extension, Manager Gary Naysmith said: “I am delighted that Ross has agreed a new contract with the club and it’s a contract that he thoroughly deserves. He is a terrific professional both on and off the pitch and is a great role model for the younger players in our squad. I am thrilled that he has agreed to stay for at least another season.”

Chairman Dan Wharton added: “The Board are thrilled that Ross has committed his future to the club. Ross remains a hugely important figure, and this extension reflects our confidence in him and our ambitions for the future.”

Head of Football Operations Martin Christie agreed: “As a club we are very pleased to agree this extension with Ross. He is another fantastic influence in the dressing room and we feel he is playing some of the best football of his career.”

Ross Meechan further commented: “Delighted to be able to extend my deal for another year. To work alongside the gaffer and his management team. Share a changing room with this group for another year. It’s a no brainer. It’s somewhere I love playing my football and hopefully more success on top of the success that already has been at my time at the club. And hopefully more amazing moments to share with the fans going into my 8th season at the club.”
