Stenhousemuir Football Club can confirm the departure of Yan Gromov following the expiry of his contract.

Yan joined the club on a short-term agreement at the start of the season and featured across a number of our cup competitions.

Unfortunately, Yan suffered an injury in his final appearance for the club against Dumbarton in the KDM Evolution Trophy, and has since returned to his home country to continue his rehabilitation.

Everyone at Stenhousemuir Football Club would like to thank Yan for his efforts during his time at Ochilview, and wish him the very best for the future.

Martin Christie, Head of Football Operations, said: “We identified Yan as a promising goalkeeper after seeing him perform in the Lowland League. Following Curtis Lyle’s injury, we moved quickly to secure Yan until January.

“During his time with us, he provided excellent cover for Darren and proved to be a popular and well-respected member of the dressing room.

“We were all disappointed for Yan when he suffered his injury and, as he returns home to rehabilitate, we wish him nothing but the best for the future.

“He will always be welcome back at Ochilview.”

Thank you, Yan.
