Stenhousemuir are delighted to announce the signings of Leyton Grant and Zeke Cameron, who both join the club ahead of this weekend’s fixture against Kilmarnock B.
19-year-old centre-back Leyton Grant joins the Warriors on a deal until January. A product of the Forth Valley Academy, Leyton moved to Rangers Boys Academy in 2017 before signing full-time in 2022.
His development has been highly impressive, including playing a key role in Rangers’ Scottish Youth Cup triumph during the 2023/24 season.
Last season, Leyton gained valuable senior experience while on loan at Stirling Albion in the William Hill League Two, where he made 16 appearances and earned strong praise for his performances.
Leyton has also represented Scotland at youth international level, earning nine Under-17 caps and later stepping up to the Under-19 squad.
Manager Gary Naysmith said: “With Nicky’s suffering his setback last week, we felt that we needed to add another central defender to the squad, and I am delighted that we have managed to get Leyton on board at such short notice.
“Leyton can play on either side in a back four or a back three and will provide good competition in that area of the pitch. He is an aggressive defender who is also comfortable on the ball, and we are looking forward to working with him in the months ahead. He will go straight into the squad for today’s game.”
Head of Football Operations Martin Christie added: “Leyton is one who has been on our radar throughout the summer but was possibly going abroad to pursue a move.
“All our thoughts are with Nicky and his setback, but it was clear we had to move quickly to bolster that area of the squad. Leyton came into training this week and we are delighted he has agreed a deal until January”
Stenhousemuir are also delighted to confirm the signing of 18-year-old winger Zeke Cameron, who joins on loan from Dunfermline Athletic.
Zeke began his career with Dundee West before moving to Dundee United in 2022, where he scored his first senior goal against Buckie Thistle in the SPFL Trust Trophy.
He continued his development with a loan spell at Cowdenbeath during the 2024/25 season, making 13 appearances and scoring twice in the Lowland League against Hearts B and Celtic B.
Manager Gary Naysmith said: “We have been looking to add another wide player to the squad for a few weeks now and I am delighted that we have now managed to do so with the signing of Zeke.
“He is a young player who can play on either wing and is someone who likes to face defenders up and take them on in 1 v 1 situations using his ability and pace. Zeke will go straight into the squad for today’s game”
Head of Football Operations Martin Christie commented: “Adding to the wide area was considered the final piece of the puzzle for the squad to ensure we had competition in all areas.
“Having seen Zeke for Dundee Utd and on loan at Cowdenbeath last season, he is an exciting winger who I think will add something to our squad and ensure we can cope with the amount of fixtures that lie ahead.”
