The SFL U19 League stared up again today with us having a comfortable win in the end against Stirling Albion.

We looked very rusty in the 1st half posing very little threat in front of the Albion goal.

I came as no real shock when the Albion took the lead in the 15th minute when keeper Diamond was beaten with a 20 yard shot which he could only parry into his net.

The 2nd Stirling goal came in the 37th minute when an Albion forward hit an angled 15 yard shot that flew into the net off the far post.

We never really posed a threat in the full 1st half and were lucky to go in at half –time only 2 down.

We came out in the 2nd half with a bit more purpose but had to wait until the 55 minute to get on the score sheet when a Ross Brash free kick was miss kicked by an Albion defender and the ball landed in the net.

We then woke up at that stage and began to press the Albion goal continuously with Jordan Burns equalising for us in the 60 minute.

We took the lead in the 80th minute when defender Charles Docherty did a solo run from his own half of the pitch and curled the ball high into the top corner of the net.

In the 84th minute a superb Anderson through pass to Taylor allowed him to slip the ball over the advancing keeper to make the score 4-2.

The scoring was completed in the 87th minute when Love finished off a well worked move to score from a yard out to make the final score 5-2.

It was a scoreline that you would have thought at half time wasn’t on the cards.
