Warriors Scorers:- Burns 4, Love 2, Lawson, Plenderlieth, Hunter, Connachan.
Stenny kicked off their season with an away trip to face Brechin City.
It didn’t take the Warriors long to stamp their authority and Kieran Connaghan put them 1 – 0 up after only six minutes.
The visitors went on to dominate the match and it wasn’t long before skipper Mickey Hunter added goal number 2.
Despite City pulling one back, there were further strikes from Stuart Love, Jordan Burns, Alan Lawson and Grant Plenderleith to make the half time score 6– 1.
The 2nd half started the way the first ended and that was with another goal, Jordan Burns picking up his second of the match.
Burns would go on and grab his hat trick before scoring his fourth from the spot after Love was sent crashing.
Love grabbed a double to end the match 10 – 1.
This was a terrific team performance by the youngsters and hopefully this is only the start of more to come.
