Stenhousemuir Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Olly Whyte, who joins the club on loan from Motherwell FC as part of our newly launched Cooperation Agreement between the two clubs.
A dynamic and versatile midfielder, Olly becomes the first player to make the move to Ochilview under the new partnership, and arrives following a hugely impressive 2024/25 campaign on loan at Cowdenbeath, where he swept the board at their end-of-season awards — winning Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, Supporters’ Player of the Year, and The Coo Shed Podcast Player of the Year.
Martin Christie, Head of Football Operations at Stenhousemuir, said: “As part of our cooperation with Motherwell, I am delighted to welcome Olly Whyte as the first player to make the move to Stenhousemuir on a cooperation loan. Olly has been well known to us for a while as we watched his progress last season at Cowdenbeath where he won Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, Supporters’ Player of the Year and the Coo Shed Podcast Player of the Year. When we discussed the possibility of a cooperation with Motherwell, Olly was top of our list of players to bring in. We feel he compliments our current midfielders very well and will be a great fit into our squad.”
Christie continued: “Olly was a player we identified of interest last season. We kept track of his progress and when the opportunity came up to bring him here as part of our cooperation agreement with Motherwell, we were very keen to do so. Olly is a dynamic midfielder who can play a number of positions in the centre of the park. He will add to the strong squad we are building here and we look forward to seeing him in action.”
We extend a warm welcome to Olly and look forward to seeing him in maroon this season.
