Stenhousemuir Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of winger Rachel Howie on loan from SWPL2 side Hamilton Academical until January.

A graduate of the Lanarkshire sides academy, Rachel enjoyed a lengthy spell with Gartcairn before joining St Johnstone. Rachel would return to Hamilton in January of this year to contribute to the remainder of Hamilton’s SWPl1 campaign.

“I’m looking to get as many minutes in the tank as possible, and I’m a player who likes to take risks and play forward as much as possible, so hopefully i can help the team pick up as many points as possible while I’m here.”

“The club comes with a good reputation for standards, and hopefully I can contribute to the group with my own experience in SWPL and help the team towards success.”

Manager Jack Cameron adds “We’re really pleased to have Rachel on board as she’s a talent I’ve been keen to sign for some time.

“She brings some fantastic experience to the group from SWPL and absolutely knows and understands what is needed to play and complete at that level; which is where we very much want the club to be.”
