Colin McMenamin was tonight announced as the new Manager of Stenhousemuir Football Club.
Colin was revealed as the new gaffer by Club Chairman Iain McMenemy and it was, rightly, the first team squad who were first to hear the news in the dressing room before tonight’s training session.
Iain McMenemy said, “We are delighted to announce Colin as our new manager and are looking forward to seeing him continue to grow and shape the team over the remainder of the season and beyond.
“We actually completed the interview process last week, however, we held off finalising matters until after Saturday’s Scottish Cup match. We didn’t want anything to affect that game or to add any additional pressure on to what was already looking like a tough but exciting local derby match for us. We also didn’t want to make any decision based on Saturday’s game as any decision had to be based on a whole host of factors as opposed to just one performance.
“We had a number of applicants for the position and held a thorough process of evaluation and multi-stage interviews. Colin was strong throughout, he really stepped up and set out a clear vision of where he wanted to take the team and his positivity was clear for us all to see.
“As interim Manager he has had a great start, and we are looking forward to him building on the momentum he has already achieved.”
