6th February Ally Brown
Joins From Hibs |

We can confirm that goalkeeper Ally Brown from Hibs has signed till the end of
the season. Ally is now a fully fledged Warriors player and will vie for the
no.1 slot with John Hillcoat. Ally was on loan at Ochilview earlier in the
season and is pictured above in action against the Shire. Ally's chances
at Hibs were few and far between but he enjoyed the successful loan spell enough
to make the move permanent now. He made 10 appearances most notably in the
3-0 derby win against the Shire. Previously he had made 41 appearances for
Raith Rovers during the 2005/6 season and had a brief loan spell at Cowdenbeath.

them in 2005. He started at Dalkeith Thistle before
moving to Hearts and joined Berwick on loan winning a Scotland Under 21 Cap.
Then a £25000 fee took him south of the border to Doncaster for a short spell
before he returned to Scotland for other spells with Partick Thistle , Dundee,
Cowdenbeath and East Fife. In recent seasons he has played in a number of games
against the Warriors including Berwick's epic 3-1

8th January Ladies' 5-a-side
Tournament. |
Stenhousemuir
FC Ladies were beaten finalists in the SWFA national 5 a side competition at the
weekend.
The open tournament attracted clubs from all divisions and included Premier
opposition Kilmarnock and Hamilton. The ladies played in a 6 team qualifying
group and remained unbeaten, and qualifying in top spot. The semi final was a
close game and ended in a 1-1 draw, against first division Tynecastle, into the
penalty shootout and the ladies kept their nerve and progressed to the final
against tournament favourites Kilmarnock, although losing 1-0 the Warriors hit
the post in the dying seconds and left with what might have been.
Coach Dibdin said 'the girls have had a magnificent tournament and certainly
made a good account of themselves, even in the final they played well and
the Killie players were glad to hear the final whistle' he went on to add
'Nothing surprises me
with the team they are winners and believe in themselves no matter the
opposition, we were playing against higher divisions and we have sent out a
warning to all teams that we are ready for anyone'.
The girls disappointed to finish runners up were: Yuill, Fyfe, Cram, Dawson,
Outram, Clason, Orr and the outstanding 'Mo' Thomson.

6th January
Transfer News |

Manager Jim Coughlin has been very busy already in
the transfer marked and Warriors fans will already have noted some of the
changes. Already making a big name for himself is "Dazzler"; otherwise
known as Scott Dalziel who signed from Cowdenbeath. Scott joined with John
Dempster heading in the other direction for a small fee. Scott, a quick
striker, has already shown us what he can do with three goals in his first two
appearances for the Warriors!
Dalziel was taken out of junior football by the
"Blue Brazil" in June 2006 where he had been playing for Armandale Thistle
and being their highest scorer had attracted interest from a number of clubs.
He has the distinction of having scored two goals on his debuts for both Stenny
and Cowdenbeath now and has signed until the end of the year. In total he
scored 8 goals in 21 appearances for Cowdenbeath. Scott, who is an
electrician by trade cites Pele as his all-time football hero.
John Dempster who was signed almost exactly a year
ago scored 16 goals in 33 games for the Warriors and we wish him all the best
with his new club.
Also joining the club is another forward, Graham
Gibson. Graham began his career at Lochore Welfare before moving to
Brechin City in February 2006. He made 119 appearances (about half as a
sub) there and notched 22 goals. This form lead to him being snapped up by
Partick Thistle where he made a further 20 appearances for the Division One side
though mostly were as a substitute and he scored one goal. More lately he
was on loan at East Fife for the latter part of last season and played in the
eight goal thriller against the Warriors at
Ochilview. He scored two goals in his 17 appearances for them including
the opener in their play off semi-final win against Stranraer.
