30th May Stenny
Youth "Performance" |

The club are thrilled to announce that we have
been awarded 'Performance' level status for our youth structure by the SFA. The
impact is an increased grant from the SFA to run the youth system and a complete
change in the level of competition. Our 13's, 14's, 15's and 17's team will now
participate with the other Performance club who are essentially the SPL clubs
plus Hamilton and Cowdenbeath. This is a major breakthrough for the club as the
level is granted based on very strict criteria and is designed to develop the
very best of young talent in the country. Campbell Money commented 'I am
absolutely delighted at this and it is a testament to the coaches who have been
superb, the application of the players and the club for continuing to invest and
support the whole youth system. We are starting to see the rewards on the park
and this is a massive commitment for both the coaches and players. We look
forward to pitting our wits and abilities against the best
Scotland has to offer next season'.

23rd May Tam Steps
Up |
Campbell Money made another exciting signing for the Warriors
today snapping up aggressive midfield goalscorer Thomas Murdoch from Neilston
Juniors. Tam is known as a scorer of spectacular goals and is an
attacking minded player who can play on the right side or in the centre of
midfield. This will be Tam's first chance to shine in Senior football and
Warriors fans will hope that he makes a similar kind of impact to John Dempster
following his move up from Junior football.

14th May Ross
Returns to The Warriors |
Ross Hamilton has been signed from Alloa Athletic. 26
Year old Ross will be well known to Stenny fans after he spent the first two
seasons of his senior career at Ochilview Park making over 80 appearances and
scoring 21 goals. He then made the short journey to Alloa where he became
one of the club's longest serving players making in excess of 250 appearances
and netting 54 times. This included the 2003/4 season where he netted
three times in four games against the Warriors including a late winner at
Alloa's Recreation Park. Campbell Money is pleased with the capture, saying that
his plan is to play Ross in a wide right role and that he is looking forward to
working with him over the coming season. Ross is a local lad who attended
Larbert High School and was a member of a highly successful Senior Boys Team who
won the Scottish Schools Cup; he now teaches Physical Education at Larbert High.

11th May
Dillon Joins From Dumbarton |
Campbell
Money completed another piece of the jigsaw for next season ex Dumbarton left
sided midfielder John Dillon (picture courtesy of
Donald Fullarton) signing on for next season earlier this afternoon.
28 year old Dillon had been at our Div 3 rivals since 1999 making over 200
appearances, before that he was also on the books of Clyde and Kilmarnock.
He has 33 career goals to his name and Warriors fans will remember him from some
of the games against The Sons last season.
Campbell was obviously delighted with his latest acquisition." I tried to sign
John during the January transfer window but regrettably he wasn't available so
I'm pleased to get hold of him for the new season. He's got loads of experience
at this level, is a naturally left sided player and I'm sure he'll be more than
a useful acquisition to the team for the new term."

10th May
Aitken Set To Leave |
Steven
Aitken has now joined the list of players leaving the club this Summer.
Boss Campbell Money stated that he had been very pleased with his contribution
since he joined the club, particularly his attitude and commitment.
However, with the arrival of Steven Ferguson from Brechin this week he also
wants to leave space in the squad for some of the young players to come through.
We wish Stevie all the best and would like to thank him for his contribution
during his time at Ochilview.

9th May
Hampshire Joins The Warriors! |

Campbell Money is delighted to announce that Steven Hampshire has agreed to
join for next season. One of Campbell's prime targets Steven, division 2 player
of the year 2 years ago, turned down higher league clubs to join the Ochilview
revolution!
Steven was born in Edinburgh in 1979 but made his first appearance as a
substitute in the League Cup for Chelsea where he was a trainee. That was
to be his only appearance though before he left to join Dunfermline originally
on loan and then permanently in 2001. He enjoyed 93 appearances in the
Scottish Premier League scoring ten goals. In August 2003 he moved to
current club Brechin where he has the honour of scoring the winning goal when
City beat Kilmarnock in the CIS Cup; their first ever win against Premiership
opposition! In his time at Brechin he made 143 appearances and netted 36
times. Possibly his best season came two years ago when he won the
Scottish Second Division Player of the Year award with a series of outstanding
displays for the Reds.

8th May
Warriors Raid Brechin! |
Campbell has agreed terms with 2 hopefully lynchpins of next season - Stevie
Ferguson and John Hillcoat. As reported in the press more in spreculation than
fact the two players had options to remain with Brechin but decided to head to
Ochilview and head our charge for 07-08. Stevie is a well known leader and is
also the club's community officer. We welcome both to the club.
John is a much travelled and highly respected keeper. Standing 5' 11" he
was born in December 1970. Although his chances at City were limited to just
three appearances last year he spent time on loan at Dumbarton. he
has played for an absolute array of clubs in his career including Partick,
Clydebank, Hamilton (twice), Morton, QoS, Dumbarton, St Mirren,
Stranraer, Ayr Utd and of course Brechin City. With these clubs he has
notched up around 200 appearances. John also had a brief stint as
caretaker manager at Brechin last year.
Stevie
Ferguson is already well known at Ochilview as the club's youth development
officer! He plays as a combative midfielder and was appointed as Brechin
club captain last season. He was born in May 1977 and previously played
for both Ross County where he made 208 appearances scoring an impressive 51
goals and Ayr United
where he scored one goal in 19 appearances. He made 11 appearances in a
loan spell at Dumbarton and one for Dunfermline without scoring and managed just over 40 appearances for
Brechin scoring once.

Stevie in typical combative action for Brechin!

8th May JP
Leaves Ochilview |
Campbell
and John-Paul Mcbride have agreed it is time for pastures new for JP and he
leaves the club with our best wishes. One of the most skillful to have graced
Ochilview he will be remembered for some of the most outrageous free kicks,
passes, flicks and tricks. With one or two irons in the fire JP will hopefully
go on to really deliver some of the potential he undoubtedly has in the higher
leagues.
