Sinclair Returns to Boost Stenny! |
Tommy
Sinclair took a frightful whack during the game on Tuesday night at Dumbarton.
However, the combative and hard working midfielder was back in action for the
first team at the first possible opportunity starring in the team's stunning
5-1 home win against the Sons. Tommy lasted
the full 90 minutes and as the picture to the left shows was back up to full
steam!

Sinclair Injury Scare |
Tommy
Sinclair took a frightful whack during the game on Tuesday night at Dumbarton.
Most people in the ground heard a loud crack and Tommy lay on the ground for
some time before being helped from the pitch. Fortunately, despite getting
a "real scare" Tommy was up and about after the game. it was a sore one
but we're very hopeful that there is no lasting damage. There will be more
news in the next day or two once he has had a thorough examination from the
physio.

Scotland Schoolboys |
Last Friday night saw the Scottish schoolboy squad play the
Reublic of Ireland in a Centenary Shield match at Ochilview Park. The
match which was originally scheduled to be played at Lesser Hampden was moved to
Ochilview due to inclement weather conditions. With the Ochilview
synthetic surface guaranteeing a perfect pitch whatever the weather the game was
able to be played as scheduled. The match ended in a 1-0 win for the
visitors but more importantly to Warriors fans it featured three young Warriors
as shown below! Although the weather conditions made life difficult
Stenny's young starlets performed admirably for their side.

Annual Sportsman's Dinner |

The club held their annual dinner last weekend at the Park
Hotel in Falkirk. 170 sponsors, guests and supporters attended an excellent
night with the highlights being a very entertaining insight into life at the top
of refereeing by former grade 1 'Man in Black' Willie Young and a polished
comedy turn by veteran Bill Barclay. The night was hosted by Nicky Docherty with
his usual poise and professionalism and the club thank him as always for his
support. The evening brought some additional revenue for the Community Funds as
well as thanking some of the sponsors who support us over the course of the
year.

BETFAIR |
ThThe
club have signed a deal which we hope is good for everyone - the Club, you, your
friends and indeed Betfair. Betfair is by some way the world's largest betting
exchange. Betfair don't set odds, or bet in any event. They simply set up a
market for their customers to bet against each other. By betting against each
other, Betfair customers can get much better odds. For every new member we
introduce through the club into Betfair (and through this link) the club receive
£25. For the club we are seeking to complete the
payment of the new floodlights and all the money raised will go towards this
fund.
You the supporters can help fund
this and again be very much contributors to the welfare of the club. We ask you,
if you are used to a wee flutter e.g. fixed odds coupon, to use Betfair. Even
moreso, please ask as many friends, relatives and colleagues to sign up and use
the service. Every one, as long as they use the service means £25 to the club.
We have set a target of 1000 members and this will pay the floodlights - you can
really help and it will cost you nothing - please participate.
We will keep you up to date on the target. Please note Betfair can only be
used by Over 18s.
