29th Dec 2006 Money Gets
Fagan |

Campbell Money has moved quickly to sign 22 year old midfielder
Shaun Fagan on a one month loan from Motherwell with immediate effect. Fagan
goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's Third Division clash with Berwick at
Ochilview. Campbell was obviously delighted with his first piece of business on
thetransfer market. "Shaun has signed initially for 1 month and we'll see how
things develop from there. He has been out of the Motherwell first team for some
time due to illness and this month should work well for both of us whilst I
finalize more permanent solutions. I am sure he'll add quality to our squad and
I look forward to working with him over the next few weeks"
Fagan has spent his career at Motherwell progressing through
the youth ranks into the first team. Although his season so far has been
blighted by illness he has previously played a total of 72 League and 12 Cup
games for the club, many as a substitute, scoring three goals from midfield.
He has had some exciting moments though including heading the opening goal in a
precious
2-1 win against Celtic. More recently he scored a spectacular 25 yard
volley in a 2005 5-0 thrashing of Falkirk.

In a major boost to Stenny's youth development programme no
less than four of the club's promising youngsters have been called up for
International honours. Stenny fans will already be very familiar with
David Templeton (left) who has been making a name in the first team with a
string of impressive performances over this season and last. He has been
named in the full Scotland Under 18 team. This is further recognition of
the promise that David has shown which has seen a string of scouts from bigger
clubs interested in his progress.
In addition three of Stenny's Under 19 squad Gary Thom, Steven
Desmond and new signing Ricky Little have been included in the Scotland
Schoolboys Under 18 team to play a series of international matches including

13th Dec 2006 New
Website Opens! |
Finally! After a number of false starts we have been able to launch the new look
Stenhousemuirfc.com for our supporters. We view this as a brand new start
for the club's presence on the web and hope that it will further improve the
club's growing image and levels of communication with the fans. This
current site is just the beginning of what we hope will grow into a complete
representation of the club on the Internet. We will soon also be launching
new online ticketing and merchandising services which we hope will be apreciated
by both our local fans and our many valued friends around the globe. Don't
hesitate to feedback with any suggestions of additional content that you would
like to see here and check back often for updates!

10th Dec 2006 Five-a-Side Pitches Complete |
Work has been completed on the renovation of the 5-a-side
courts with a new carpet, fencing, boards and goals being installed. This is a
major upgrade and one that should be sufficient for the next 10 years. We are
also pleased that the facility is now genuinely as good as any in the area and
already bookings have been filling up. We intend to reinstate the 5-a-side
leagues and teams should watch for more information. We hope you enjoy the new
facility.

7th Nov 2006 Money Makes Stenny Go Round |
Stenhousemuir
FC were
delighted to announce
in November that Campbell Money was appointed as our new manager. This is a new concept
for the club as Campbell will be full-time managing the first team and retaining
his role has head of youth development. We noted one or two concerns that
appointing Campbell would impact on his other highly successful role. In
agreeing with this view we have combined these roles into a full time
position.
Campbell was one of the best candidates under any criteria given he has already
managed Stranraer to both the Championship and the Challenge Cup. He then had a
successful spell at Ayr where he was left with a youth squad to turn into a
senior team - this he managed and many of the players have moved on to better
things.
Campbell has transformed our youth structure and some of the players at the club
are excellent. With Campbell in charge of both we hope now to have created a
real link with our first team and the youth teams and that our youth players
education in football will continue when they step up.
What we consider we have therefore is a proven manager with proven youth
excellence - if we can combine these both we hope we can thrive as a club.
We considered a whole list of candidates most of whom came forward of their own
volition. We considered all of the real candidates on the forum poll but not all
were available at this time.
We are pleased that we have selected an good new manager and I am sure you will
give him your full and excellent support.
We would also like to thank Paul Smith, Steve Kerrigan and Martin McBride for
taking the training and the team during the last week. We wish them all the best
in the future.
