Warriors Scorers:- Hunter 2, McCarthy 2, Lawson, Gallagher.
The Warriors coasted to victory 6 – 2 over a youthful East Fife side as they made it three wins in their opening four games.
The opening goal came inside the first ten minutes when skipper Michael Hunter swiveled inside the area to fire a shot high into the net.
It was one way traffic and the boys added a second in the 16th minute when good play by Stuart Love allowed Paul McCarthy to slot into the net from close range.
Then McCarthy grabbed a double midway through the half by latching onto a Grant Plenderleith pass
It was 4 – 0 shortly after the break and certainly the goal of the game when Man of the Match McCarthy broke wide before crossing for Hunter to time his run and bullet a header beyond the helpless keeper.
East Fife pulled a goal back after slack play allowed the striker to fire past Sean Diamond who had a quiet afternoon up to that point.
It became 5 – 1 in the 55th minute when youngster Alan Lawson rose unchallenged to head home a McCarthy corner.
Moments later a great run and cross by Plenderleith found trialist Sean Gallagher who headed into the corner of the net.
With time running out, poor defending again by the home side saw the East Fife player grab a second of the match.
